Election Petition: Mahama files motion to halt hearing until Supreme Court reviews interrogatories ruling

Lawyers for former President John Dramani Mahama, the petitioner in the 2020 election petition case has filed a motion for stay of proceedings of the Election Petition.
Mr Mahama, through his lawyers wants the Supreme Court to halt hearing on the main Election Petition until a determination is made on his request for review of an earlier decision taken by the Supreme Court.
A seven-Member panel of the Supreme Court chaired by Chief Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah on Wednesday issued some timelines for the parties to follow including the Petitioner filing their witness statements by 12 noon today.
However, the Petitioner of the 2020 presidential election at the Supreme Court has instead filed an application for stay of proceedings.
