The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency and Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Honorable Hawa Mavis Koomson marks the Eid-Ul-Adha festival celebrated by Muslims across the globe with market women and men at the Kasoa Old market and other persons near by.
The kind gesture which has not been of it’s first time has been a routine by Honorable Koomson as a way of showing love and putting smiles on the faces of some of these persons who in one way or the other will not be able to offer themselves a meal on this special day.
Moreover, aside people who are vulnerable, Honorable Koomson believes that, in times like this is when one can really show love to all and for those who will think she does this for her political interest, has it wrong. As part of the celebration was packages of food and drinks shared to the people who received them with much joy and excitement.
As part of her developmental projects and plans for the Ghanaian youth as she has taken upon her shoulders, she is dedicated to seeing any youth who wish to learn any trade of their choice as a success. Many youth who are benefiting from this dream are learning some trades such as ‘Tailoring, Mechanical Engineering and among others’, and these ones learn the trade free of charge all on her cost and at their graduation ceremony receives their ‘Toolskit’ to start their own shop.
In an interview with Honourable Koomson by Ghananewspress.com, she stressed that Security issues as well in her constituency are under control as further efforts are taken to curb future disturbances. And as a matter of fact, ‘Kasoa’ as tagged by many Ghanaians as a crime zone is not true in the sense that, some of the people who attribute themselves to being residents of the area might only be staying around and not from the area at all.

Among people who participated in the celebration were Christians and Muslims at large.
“Honourable Koomson used the opportunity to entreat Muslims and Christians to live happily together and to renew their relationship with their creator especially the Muslims”.
Meanwhile, Some Ghanaians who have tagged Honourable Koomson as a bad minded person for wielding a weapon some months back, have really expressed their sincere remorse for tarnishing her credibility and reputation of this kind as in caring so much for them to share food and drinks to them.
