Ace Ghanaian Broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah has expressed her disappointment in the ruling New Patriotic Party. She described as “embarrassing”, their U-turn against the legalisation of okada.
Months ago, Former President and Presidential Candidate of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E John Dramani Mahama made public his intentions to legalise and regulate the activities of okada in the country, so as to provide jobs for those involved in it.

This pronouncement, caused the wrath of elements in the ruling New Patriotic Party including President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Bawumia. As well as, Kennedy Agyapong, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and a score of their communicators to attack the initiative as one that was visionless, risky and very suicidal.
Nana Aba Anamoah like many others, is however saddened that the Minister of Transport and Yaw Buabeng Asamoah. As a result, he Communications Director of the NPP says their party has already begun consultations on the legalisation of Okada. Surprisingly, this came a day after the NDC launched its manifesto dubbed the People’s Manifesto.
“Ei yaanom swore legalising okada was suicidal. Why the U-turn now?
It’s embarrassing. Stop it”, she twitted.
